Nanny & Cameron's Wedding

Ariane & Cameron got hitched last weekend. The wedding was on the roof of the Wight House (soooo georgeous). Then we had a yummy luncheon at the Joy Luck Club and then the reception was at the Wight House ballroom. It was a lovely day! Austin flew in from Los Angeles for the occasion. We are so excited that Nanny & Cameron are starting their life together!

Costumes

Austin has been doing a lot of background acting these days. Here are some of his costumes. I wish he could send me more pictures cuz these ones are great! He's been on CSI Miami twice, Rissoli Isles twice, and a few more shows I can't remember. Oh, and once he was the audience for some game show I can't remember the name of

We met Austin in St George last weekend and stayed in a motel. Then we get to see him again this weekend because Ariane is gettin' hitched.

A Day Excursion

We went with the Bowens to sleep over at Grandma & Grandpas. I only got one picture because we were having too much fun to stop and take more! Ha ha!

Another baby...

Yes, I am an auntie once again! Emma & Jonathan just had their new baby Nathan! Take note that his cute little nose is smooshed to one side. His momma was in labor all day and didn't know it then boom he was here.

Soon I'll be an auntie again (Vashti is a few weeks away from her delivery) So there will be another post of the Elliott offspring soon! Yay for babies (and especially baby boys for Emma & Jon's sake!)

Another Sucessful Short Sale

Yay!!!! With a capital Y! As you probably already know, short sales are usually a pain in the buttski, this one on the other hand was quite pleasant! My client, Adam, was sooo cooperative and really helped me out. The lender was Utah Housing and because they are a smaller in-state company they were really easy to work with. It still took a few months but that's better than 6 months to a year! I quickly figured out that I just needed to call in to utah housing often and that's when the negotiator got the most stuff done. We got multiple offers on this one and got the price over the asking price so hopefully Utah Housing is happy about that! It's so nice to see a short sale close!

The DaVinci Method

Wow, I've been learning a lot about what an author, Garret LoPorto, calls the DaVinci Temperament. It has amazing insight into what most people call ADD, ADHD & Bipolar. Most children that have the DaVinci temperament are pegged as ADD. Austin was thought of as ADD when he was a kid and when he first told me that (when we were dating) I thought it was crazy because he seemed like a smart guy and he had no problem concentrating.

But as a kid he wasn't manageable. He was always bouncing off walls and so he was pegged as ADD and drugged with Ritalin (which changes your brainwaves to manageable beta-waves instead of Alpha). I think India also is a DaVinci (it's a genetic thing that can be passed to your kids, it's a polymorphism of a gene that supports risk taking, increased brainwave activity, and genius level problem solving and creativity!) To sum it up I would say that DiVinci's are the ones that change the world we live in. Like Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Leonardo DaVinci, Oprah Winfrey, Thomas Jefferson, Steven Spielberg, Richard Branson (founder of Virgin Records), Steve Jobs (founder of Apple and Pixar), Conan O'Brian, Michael Jordan, Elvis Presley, Donald Trump, George Lucas, Salvador Dali, Robin Williams and Einstien. They usually aren't understood by the masses and sometimes they are thought of as having a disorder because they don't fit in and they take big risks. Some DaVincis don't know how to harness their abilities or they are trying to fit into society and they can't, it goes against their very soul. So I would suggest to anyone who has a kid who is "ADD" look more into the DaVinci method and find out how to help your kid blossom instead of trying to make them fit in. Oh, and if you have time go here and see the 3 minute movie http://www.areyouadavinci.com/

Qwee-chin-ski Deal

So I normally don't put last names on my blog but these clients have the coolest last name. I had to share the pronunciation. So their first and last names will remain annonomous but the pronunciation will be public.

The couple that bought this house are young, like 20 and 21. I was so impressed with them. When they asked me to guess their ages I guess older. So young and already buying their first house! Smart cookies! We checked out about 140 houses till we found this beauty. Totally remodled and smelled nice. No backyard neighbors, 2300 Sq Ft, 2 car garage and all for under $120k!!!! This deal went smoothly over all. It took a few more days to fund and record than planned but we got it closed! Congrats Quweechinski's!!

An almost accident!

My mom met me at a parking lot to give me some stuff that was in her trunk. Any closer and we would have had a big problem! I stood there watching her back up and I couldn't even get a peep out I think my eyes closed too. When she got out I pointed to the cars and we both started to laugh and cry!!!

Tonya's New Vintage Home!!

I'm way behind on posting! My client Tonya bought this cute house in the Poplar Grove area the beginning of June. We initially made an offer that the seller rejected but then they came crawling back to us after they had no showings over the weekend. This home is really old and so it had a lot of issues. The sellers had to make a lot of FHA required repairs which made them very unhappy but I think they figured out that no matter who bought the home they'd have to make the repairs. So they made the repairs but they dragged their feet and this deal took 2 or 3 weeks longer than expected!!! Since it closed, Tonya has been remodeling it and will probably be done with most of the stuff in September. I look forward to checking it out and putting the before and after pictures on my blog!
